4 Parramatta Square Sustainability Services

The regeneration of Parramatta City is key to NSW Government’s strategy for growth. $2.7bn has been invested, transforming Parramatta Square into a world-class landmark with commercial, retail and cultural facilities. Of the six new buildings around the 6,000sqm public precinct, the 35 storey A-grade office tower at 4 Parramatta Square (4PS) has garnered Parramatta’s largest 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built Base Building rating, and a first 6 Star Green Star Interiors rating for fitout.

Occupied by government tenants, 4PS initially aimed for 5 Star versions of the Green Star categories. Appointed by Built Obayashi JV, the head contractor, our sustainability consultants worked closely with the team to identify an improved Green Star pathway during design and construction to achieve 6 Stars. Our robust approach also achieved 4- and 5- star NABERS targets for ‘Water Whole Building’ and ‘Energy Base Build’ respectively.?Initiatives include optimised solar power on the roof, rainwater reuse systems, and detailed material selection throughout to reduce embodied carbon impact whilst improving occupant health.

Offering world-leading sustainable commercial space, 4PS will stimulate economic growth in Sydney’s communities.
