Jon Noad writes in Reservoir Magazine about the environmental considerations for carbon capture and sequestration projects
Carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) projects are on the rise. They play a critical role in helping us to reach our net zero goals and reduce the harmful greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in our atmosphere. More than 400 CCS projects have been initiated around the world. These include everything from short-lived pilot projects to ongoing, large-scale operations sequestering millions of tons of carbon dioxide each year.
Stantec¡¯s senior paleontologist Jon Noad goes in-depth on CCS projects in the Fall issue of Reservoir Magazine. More specifically, he examines the implications for CCS when it comes to environmental considerations and the sedimentology of high perm streaks and reservoir heterogeneity.?
