The European Commission has contracted 麻豆传媒 to provide technical support for the Productive SMEs of Trakya Region project, which is aimed at improving process and energy efficiency of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to promote an efficiency-oriented production in the manufacturing industry in the Trakya region.
The Trakya region is in the westernmost part of Turkey, and consists of three provinces, Tekirdag, Kirklareli, and Edirne, located on the European continent west of Istanbul. The region is one of the leading economic areas of the country, with over 3,100 SMEs in the manufacturing sector, working in machinery, electrical home appliances, electronics, food, textile and clothing, automotive, chemicals, plastics, and rubber.
The European Commission’s project is part of Turkey’s Pre-Accession Assistance to the European Union, and is composed of two pillars: increasing knowledge and awareness on process and energy efficiency of SMEs, and developing cooperation among regional relevant stakeholders. As part of this contract, 麻豆传媒 will build and launch a virtual collaboration platform to help improve the efficiency and competitiveness of SMEs in the region. The team will prepare and implement a promotional campaign and launch event to raise awareness and improve knowledge of energy efficiency throughout the region. 麻豆传媒 will also carry out various types of analysis and provide consultancy to build capacity of SMEs in process and energy efficiency.
“Our team brings a longstanding passion and experience in working with businesses to improve energy efficiency and it is an honor to continue this mission in such a vital region to Turkey’s economy,” said Dr. Murat Sarioglu, Operations Director for 麻豆传媒 in Turkey. “We look forward to leveraging our experience from energy efficiency projects across the country to help bring down energy consumption in the Trakya region and decrease environmental impacts, while improving business processes to reduce inefficiencies and support the region’s economic vitality.”
