Joaquin is a civil and geotechnical engineer with nearly two decades of experience. His focus includes developing investigation programs, geological modeling, soils and rock masses characterization, and supervising field investigation works. Joaquin is also responsible for investigation and geological modeling, hydropower and tailings dams, slopes and tunnels design, grouting, drainage, and instrumentation.?
Passionate about fostering a healthy work environment, Joaquin takes pride in leading a team that is organized and motivated. In his position, he’s responsible for coordinating tasks, creating and following delivery schedules, reviewing technical issues, and liaising with project leaders. Joaquin has worked on several high-profile projects including the Panama Canal, Gatún Spillway, Manantial Espejo Tailings Dam and the Patagonia Concrete Face Rockfill Dams.
Joaquin has 14 years of experience teaching two different levels of geotechnics at the National University of La Plata. Away from the world of engineering, he enjoys playing and watching sports, doing carpentry, and just being at home.
