Anne Marie is a senior architect working throughout the City of New York. Working with such complex and diverse infrastructure, no two projects are the same—from $200 million NYCT transit improvements to the development of courthouses, creating welcome centers for New York State, to renovating K-12 schools, she’s done it all.
Committed to finding the illusive solutions that solve difficult problems, Anne Marie thrives on teamwork. She and her team recently put their collaborative skills to the test when working on One Vanderbilt—a project tackling the daunting task of replacing every platform stair in Grand Central Station. By improving circulation and combatting congestion, this will allow New York City Transit to add one more train an hour. The subway has very few ways to add capacity to its already bustling system—this is one significant solution.
Anne Marie’s skills are not limited to creating superior architectural designs. Just about every Saturday you’ll find her dancing Contra or English with Country Dance New York, or performing with her own dance team, Ring O’Bells Morris.?
