Ian is a planning director with 15 years of experience advising clients across England and Ireland. He has significant experience across a variety of sectors. Ian advises clients through development management and plan making, working within and managing multidisciplinary teams.
Ian has a strong drive for adding social value through planning. He served as the chair of the Northwest Regional Town Planning Institute’s Regional Management Board in 2021 and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) champion in 2022. Ian belongs to our internal EDI group and is helping to develop a planning tool to provide a route for school children from all backgrounds to access planning careers.
Outside of work, Ian can generally be found doing any activity that involves wheels or sliding down a mountain. He is a keen cyclist and motorcyclist and very fond of track days and snowboarding holiday. Ian has recently been embracing middle age with a newfound love of barbequing and mowing stripes in lawns!
