A keen interest in client needs, regulatory requirements, and public support drove Kyla to become a geohazards specialist. Reducing the impacts of landslides, wildfires, and floods on our communities means a lot to her, and she’s committed to helping build more resilient communities through a better understanding of the science behind these types of events and how we communicate and mitigate the associated risks.
Kyla’s industry experience includes working with power plants, pipeline owners and operators, mining operations, and municipalities to understand the natural hazards faced by infrastructure. She enjoys the challenge of working on both large- and small-scale projects where industry finds a balance with communities and the environment.
Outside of the office, Kyla enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, and playing with Gretchen and Bunny Sanders, her two pet rabbits. Her greatest weakness is dark chocolate. ?
