Johnathan is an accomplished archaeological field director and permit holder. He has over a decade of experience in cultural resource management, archaeological impact assessments, construction monitoring, and research excavations across British Columbia, Yukon, and Alaska. Some of his notable projects include excavations of ancient sites in Western Canada, as well as researching tool stone sources near Quesnel, British Columbia.
In addition to his professional work, Johnathan volunteers with the Quesnel Search and Rescue (QSAR) as a ground search team leader and assistant training officer. He has over five years of QSAR experience, participating in training exercises, ground searches, wildfire evacuations, and medical rescues in diverse and challenging environments and conditions.
When he isn’t busy with archaeological work or QSAR activities, Johnathan enjoys making the most of winters by seizing every opportunity to hit the slopes. If you happen to catch him indoors, he’s likely indulging his inner nerd with all things Star Wars, Star Trek, or Lord of the Rings.
