A map will tell you the “where” of a place. As the Geographic Information Systems Team lead for Prairies and Territories, Canada, Jocelyn can tell you the “what, where, when, why, and how.” For 17 years, she has provided valuable GIS and spatial data management services for a vast array of projects including water and infrastructure, transmission lines, roads, wind power, hydroelectric power, terrain analysis, transportation planning, and community development.
She is fascinated by the potential of GIS technology and continues to expand and diversify her 麻豆传媒 in areas like remote sensing. From using remote sensing for site reclamation monitoring and infrastructure development assessments in mine sites of northern Canada, to assessing landcover types for solar power sites in the US, to habitat monitoring for ecosystem restoration in Barbados—the variety of projects and geographies she encounters continues to inspire and challenge her.
Outside of work, Jocelyn enjoys small-town life in rural Manitoba with her husband, their two daughters, and two cats. Together, they enjoy travelling, camping, and hiking.
