Simon is a water quality lead with over 17 years of experience working on drinking water treatment process chemistry and distribution system water quality projects. He specializes in optimizing distribution system chemistry through a combination of treatment and network operational analysis, working to make sure water is safe and wholesome for customers to drink.
Known for his ability to communicate complicated issues clearly, Simon is passionate about developing client relationships that last. He feels fortunate to work in an industry that has a direct impact on the lives of people across the world, and his proclivity to own the projects he works on often results in repeat work for long time clients. For Simon, the most rewarding work he’s done is that on the development and implementation of strategies to control lead corrosion in communities—elevated lead exposure is bad for kids’ mental development, and with two young kids, the importance of this work really hits home.
Outside of the office, Simon enjoys reading, playing piano and guitar, and spending time outdoors including cycling, cross country skiing, and hiking. He also enjoys exploring, from traveling around different countries to the corners of his local neighborhood.
