Water is a necessity for all life on earth and is all too often taken for granted. We expect it come to us on demand, clean, and with minimal effort. Safe and secure water stands as a measure of social development. But we still have much to learn about this life-blood of our planet. In more than 20 years of working with water, Chris has garnered a slate of valuable experiences and skills to address where his client’s projects use, interact with, or impact water. These include surface water quantity and quality modeling, environmental impact assessment, and regulatory compliance in floodplain management and hazardous materials projects.

Currently, he is focused on river restoration design, stormwater infrastructure assessments for water quantity, and quality impacts, as well as construction monitoring of civil and natural water resources projects. Projects he is especially proud of include serving as project manager for a long-term ecological research project in Antarctica where he spent 9 seasons collecting and analyzing glacial meltwater. He has co-authored more than 15 peer-reviewed publications on climate driven hydrologic variability, surface-to-water nutrient connectivity, and fish toxicology.

Outside of work Chris enjoys rafting the rivers, biking the trails, and climbing the mountains of his western Colorado home. But mostly, he focuses on making those activities fun for his son.?
