An environmental engineer, Uday is passionate about water resources, climate change adaptation, and building a more resilient future. His career has spanned the design and implementation of water distribution and wastewater conveyance systems, as well as floodplain management. He’s driven by a desire to create sustainable solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
Focused on addressing coastal flooding and resiliency needs, Uday has designed several tide gates and retrofitted existing stormwater facilities for various cities in the Hampton Roads, Virginia, region. He makes critical decisions regarding regional rainfall recurrence intervals based on historical data and results from coastal flood modeling.
When he isn’t building resilient communities or guiding others on their mindfulness journey—Uday is a certified meditation and breathwork instructor—he cherishes time with his family. He and his wife have two children and, whether it's a tea party with his daughter or building a Lego masterpiece with his son, family moments are what he treasures most.
