Michael is a board-certified toxicologist with a background and training in molecular toxicity, immunology, risk assessment, particle characterization methods, and medical devices and has published over 40 peer reviewed publications and conference abstracts on these topics. He has consulted on and managed projects related to medical device research including the assessment of outcomes and toxicological aspects of metal-on-metal hip replacements.
Michael earned his doctorate in microbiology, immunology, and molecular genetics with an emphasis in molecular toxicology from the University of California, Los Angeles. His research projects focused on air pollution toxicology, nanoparticle toxicology, material science engineering, and efficacy testing associated with various drug delivery systems.
When he isn’t advising on toxicological matters, Michael enjoys spending as much time with his family as possible, playing soccer, and cheering his Green Bay Packers on to the Super Bowl—this year for sure!
