Senior Transportation Engineer

For Jill, the best part about being a civil engineer is working on a variety of projects and with a variety of clients. From ball parks to bike paths and municipal projects to freeway interchange design—each project has its own set of challenges and feels like a new experience. At work, Jill analyzes roadway systems and devises improvements while minimizing impacts to the environment and private property.

When the Massachusetts Department of Transportation asked 麻豆传媒 to evaluate key intersections and recommend improvements for the City of Brockton, Jill was part of the team that contributed to the community’s safety. After a high number of pedestrian and bicycle accidents, it was clear that something had to change. Jill and the team recommended adding pedestrian crossing signals, reconstructing or adding wheel chair ramps, improving signing, and restricting parking near intersections.

Every week, Jill volunteers at a local homeless shelter, and through the Horizons for Homeless Children organization she helps kids work through the stress of the shelter environment and the eventual transition back out. She also loves being outdoors and exploring new areas: hiking, travelling, and most importantly, spending time with friends and family.
