With over 20 years of diverse experience in the civil infrastructure sector, Shafiq has worked on light rail transit, highways, bridges, roads and pavement, and civil infrastructure operations, maintenance, and asset management.
Shafiq also has significant experience in contract and commercial management in alternative project delivery (APD) or public-private partnership (PPP) type mega infrastructure development projects in North America and the Middle East. Some recent examples include the Highway 407 East Extension Phase 1 Project, Ontario Line, and Gordie Howe International Bridge Project.
Currently, Shafiq works as a management consultant in the Middle East region on business transformation and change management projects being delivered for government entities. This includes addressing operational and implementation challenges associated with such projects.
