As a well-known civil engineer, Afsi is often called as an expert witness in civil engineering matters. She makes presentations and provides testimony on projects at public hearings, zoning hearing cases, and to citizens' organizations. It’s all part of her job as the department head of the Civil Engineering group in our Germantown, Maryland office.
Afsi isn’t always on the witness stand—often she’s providing technical support for design and development of site plans, sediment and erosion control plans, stormwater management plans, storm drain and paving plans, and water and sewer design per Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission standards.
From attending hearings, design review committee meetings, and meeting with the clients and review agencies to attending pre-construction meetings—Afsi is a go-to resource for our clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
