With nearly four decades of experience in archaeological survey, excavation, analysis, reporting, and project management, you can say that Kate has a flair for historical resources. As a senior archaeologist, she manages and coordinates the historical resources aspects of 麻豆传媒 projects.
Kate’s experience covers an array of sector and development types—in essence, any project that results in ground disturbance in areas that may contain significant historical resources. Her archaeological interests include greater incorporation of digital data collection tools, analysis of plant and animal remains in archaeological sites, historical archaeology, and inclusion of Indigenous communities in the regulatory process and resource management. While Kate is focused primarily on the management aspect of projects, the best days are still the ones spent in the field or otherwise talking about archaeology with communities and colleagues.
Outside of the archaeology “office,” Kate can be found enjoying the Alberta mountains and foothills, with yellow lab in tow (or in front), on foot or on skis.
