Photo of Gabe

As a project scientist, Gabe has experience conducting environmental surveys throughout the United States and its territories. He’s exacted this work on energy and infrastructure projects ranging from small to large, including oil pipelines and wind and solar energy.

Gabe’s project experience includes environmental DNA study design and field sampling for early detection of hydrilla and zebra mussels in high-risk lakes and ponds in Massachusetts, as well as leading field work on a similar effort for quagga mussels in Vermont. He also recently conducted sturgeon monitoring samples at a local dredge site and deployed sonar units to detect sturgeon presence in the Merrimack River. Gabe has also deployed acoustic detectors to monitor bat presence in Cape Cod, delineated wetlands in Maine, and conducted raptor surveys at a proposed wind site in northern Maine and solar site in western New York.

In his free time, Gabe enjoys exploring the outdoors by hunting, fishing, hiking, and canoeing as well as spending time with his new bird dog, Quimby.
