James Pope

Project Manager, Buildings Engineering

For more than 32 years, James has specialized in project management, project engineering, and process engineering. He has an expansive and unique knowledge of food and beverage, bioprocessing, biofuels, agri-business, industrial gases, and the specialty chemicals industries. Working with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms and as a consultant to the owner, James has successfully executed projects from concept and feasibility through construction and start-up.

He’s served in roles including lead process engineer, field engineering manager, project engineer, and project manager. He ran the field engineering management for the construction of a hydrogen production facility in Northern Alberta for a year, project managed and led the process engineering for a carbon dioxide storage facility in Virginia for Dominion Energy, and served as the owner’s project engineer for a biodiesel facility in Tennessee. Most recently, he’s led a team of subject matter experts for a renewable natural gas facility.
