Skilled in transmission line design and power system studies, Charuti has more than ten years of experience as an engineering consultant in the electric power system industry. Her versatile skill set provides the ability to focus on multiple areas in the industry including planning, transmission line design and hydro rehabilitation projects.
Charuti has worked on projects ranging in voltage from 12.47 kV to 161 kV. Her knowledge and capabilities are focused on design of transmission line design as well as other components including power system studies, requirements and submission of interconnection applications, conceptual design, conductor selection, transmission line routing, cost estimating and scheduling and NERC compliance rating. To top it off, her software capabilities include PSS/E, Powerworld, PLS CADD, PLS POLE, and ETAP, and she’s a member of the IEEE.
Charuti has worked on EMCAS, a complex adaptive system used for modeling the electricity markets using an agent based modeling and simulation approach. She also worked in Argonne Labs for a year on software for European and South Korean electricity market data.
