Steven is as an economist and analyst in both the public and private sector. He believes you should always be realistic about what can be done with the data you have and acknowledge when more data is needed to support your argument.
During his career, Steven has worked on funding applications, economic impact assessments, and business cases for a range of clients. This includes the successful Levelling Up Fund application for Drumchapel Town Centre. Steven has also authored outline business cases for the Argyll and Bute Growth Deal and North Ayrshire Council’s Lochshore Park development, and economic Impact assessments for the windfarm developer Fred Olsen Renewables and Glasgow Urban Sports Devon Street Urban Park project.
When he isn’t busy consulting on economic matters, Steven trains as a martial artist and wrestler—he’s even competed in the Scottish Freestyle Wrestling Championships! He also enjoys audiobooks, anime, and the films of David Lynch.
