Based in our Soho Square office, Susie is a planning associate director who generally leads the day-to-day management of projects. She also advises on planning strategy, coordinates the preparation and submission of applications and appeals, liaises with and forms positive working relationships with planning officers, and negotiates decisions. Susie has pursued these efforts across multiple sectors including retail and leisure, commercial, industrial, and retirement living as well as schemes within green belt lands.
Recently, Susie helped to secure planning permission for a new facility in Farington to be operated by Lancashire Cricket. She enjoyed working on this project because of the potentially significant social and community benefits that the scheme has to offer. Located within a green belt, the project involved the diversion of a public right of way and required careful consideration around the potential impacts on neighboring residential amenities. She also helped to successfully navigate the client through a legal challenge.
When she isn’t working on planning projects, you’ll find Susie spending time with my family, going for long walks, and practicing yoga.
