An environmental scientist, Josh holds bachelor's and master's degrees in botany from University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work in the field began on a Wisconsin River floodplain study in 1999, and he has worked in botany, ecological restoration, and wetland science for the past 20 years.
Josh leads plant surveys in forests, prairies, and wetlands across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and as far away as California, Montana, Nevada, and Massachusetts. His academic research has focused on the phylogenetics and ecology of the aquatic plant genus?Sparganium.
Outside of work he enjoys hiking and biking with the family, live music, wiffleball, and volunteering.?
