Jeff Tabar

Senior Principal, Senior Coastal Engineer

Photo of Jeff

As a coastal and civil engineer, Jeff brings forth creative solutions to complex engineering problems every day. Over the past 22 years, he’s worked in resiliency planning, post-storm damage assessments, project management, design, and more. He’s able to navigate local, state, and federal agencies to ensure that work performed is completed accurately and meets proper guidelines and policies.

Right now, Jeff is leading the largest post-Hurricane Sandy recovery and resiliency project to restore critical marsh and coastal property in the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. It’s this sort of work that he’s passionate about—helping recover impacted areas while also inspiring people by tackling difficult and challenging problems.

Prime Hook was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy, with over 10,000 acres of critical marsh and coastal habitat affected. Jeff and his team are working hard to find a resilient coastal solution for that community. Other than work, fun for Jeff is enjoying time with his beautiful family and spending ?time in the outdoors for himself whenever possible.?
