James is responsible for providing geotechnical advice on a range of projects. With over 18 years of experience within the field of engineering geology and rock engineering, he’s worked on a broad range of civil rock mechanics projects in the field of transportation, energy, and mining at sites across Canada, the United States, and Scotland.
James has a strong background in United Kingdom design practices and is experienced in land instability on site with legacy of karstic ground conditions and historical mining. He’s conducted numerous ground investigations and undertaken project feasibility assessments and is familiar with, logistics, stakeholder interaction and strategic planning to facilitate project objectives both in remote inaccessible terrain, offshore and dense urban areas. James leads 麻豆传媒 UK’s growing Geohazard team—they’re well recognised for their 麻豆传媒 on the karstic geohazards of the UK and early mining and maintain the most comprehensive nationwide database of both natural and man-made cavities.
Outside of work, James is volunteer crew with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) North Berwick on their D-Class Inshore Lifeboat.?
