A chartered geotechnical engineer for more than 15 years, Namal has professional experience that spans geotechnical consulting and construction. He also has experience with research and development industries across Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. He specializes in geotechnical investigation, numerical analysis, design of deep foundation systems, deep excavations, and earth retaining structures.
Namal has conducted rock and soil slope stability assessment and soft ground improvements. He has undertaken soil dynamic and liquefaction assessments, instrumentation and monitoring, and construction inspections. Passionate about finite element modeling of challenging geotechnical problems, he enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge with his team and seeing them growing day by day.
When he’s not designing geotechnical solutions, Namal enjoys playing with his little son and going out for a walk with his family. He also goes to the gym at least four days a week to maintain his fitness.
