183-185 Clarence Street Sydney

Built Development Group is leading the way when it comes to redeveloping heritage buildings in Sydney, Australia. Their vision of creating a seven-storey building that looks like a cloud hovering over pre-existing legacy buildings on Clarence Street would entail restoring two adjacent structures to become their new headquarters.

Our team was engaged to complete all building services and full documentation. As the building is so unique, there were several challenges. The commercial building warehouses were renovated, repurposed, and extended to allow for high-quality servicing that can extend the building's life. A sculptural glass extension on the seven-storey office tower generates a modern profile unique to the Sydney skyline. We worked closely with Built to navigate the architectural design and building elements, coordinating to achieve the developer¡¯s desired outcomes.

Upon completion, the tower at 183-185 Clarence Street is a commercial building with minimal impact to preserve the existing heritage site for future generations. It also strives to deliver 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built v1.1, 5 Star NABERS Energy, and 4 Star NABERS Water ratings.
