Commonwealth Bank Darling Square, Sydney

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) sits on an A-grade office building in Darling Square, Sydney. When they were looking to expand their facilities and connect with their community, our team was there to help. Our goal? To deliver a 13-story 6 Star Green Star sustainable and innovative design with flexible office space fit for Australia's most notable bank.

With a solid target for achieving sustainable and acoustically sound outcomes, we provided strategic advice for an energy-efficient HVAC that would allow a single-pass air system to increase indoor air quality. The design of the building fa?ade was imperative to helping achieve the Green Star recommended internal noise levels needed to assist noise control as the building is adjacent to a central transportation area which made the fa?ade design challenges. We helped achieve noise control for the mechanical system to use the emergency system to provide cool/hot air to the building for emergency efficiency.

Since its completion, Commonwealth Bank Darling Square has scored 81 points out of a possible 100, exceeding the 6 Star benchmark of 75 points. The building supports workplace creativity, flexibility, and inspiring inclusion.
