ERAWA Operational Audit and Asset Management Review
With a firm belief that we¡¯re better together, we think it¡¯s important to develop and maintain partnerships for the long term. Here in Western Australia we¡¯ve been working in partnership with electricity generators, transmission, distribution, and retail licensees under the Economic Regulation Authority Western Australia¡¯s (ERAWA) regulatory framework for almost two decades¡ªwith a long-standing relationship with BHP Billiton Nickel West (Nickel West).
In 2014, Nickel West commissioned us to undertake operational license performance audits and asset management reviews in accordance with the ERAWA¡¯s requirements¡ªthat licensed service providers operate in a competitive, fair environment, and establish and maintain an asset management system for providing a reliable source of gas, water, and electricity to their customers. Under these requirements, audits can be performed every two to five years, so in 2017 we worked in partnership with Nickel West to provide audit services for the Northern Electrical System (NES) in the mining town of Leinster and in the Southern Electrical System (SES) for five mining customers in the Kambalda region.
Our thorough, accurate reports are submitted and approved on time with minimal comments or questions from ERAWA. Following the success of the 2017 audits, Nickel West re-commissioned us to complete another audit in 2019, and we aim to continue our partnership for years to come.?
