Gerringong Landslide Remediation

Gerringong is a busy holiday spot¡ªwhen a slope failure occurred adjacent to the northbound off-ramp on the Princes Highway at Gerringong, the issue had to be addressed promptly. Transport for NSW called us for help.

We were asked to complete a geotechnical investigation and produce detailed remediation design options for the slope. A total of four test pits were strategically placed across the damaged site where we collected critical data on ground condition allowing potential risks and challenges to be proactively identified and addressed. In our geotechnical investigation and detailed design report, we included our findings based on drone image mapping, geotechnical assessment and modeling results, slope risk analysis mapping, and concept and detailed design options.

The report provided Transport for NSW with the necessary insights to progress with safe and robust restoration of this slope, paving the way for smooth access to this popular vacation spot.
