SpaceDC Hyperscale Data Centre
A first for start-up business SpaceDC, the Hyperscale Data Centre campus in Jakarta, Indonesia, includes a 1.45 megawatt Uptime Institute Tier III certified data hall and administration building. Plus, it was designed with the potential for the future construction of a scalable 26 megawatt Tier IV certified data centre building.
Our role?
With unstable utility services in Jakarta, our team utilised gas powered Co-generation to provide onsite electrical generation with heat waste used to keep the data centre coo. We transformed hot water into cold water via an absorption chiller, which was then used to cool the data centre, offering a supplementary to the free cooling air system. As a secure, economic, and green electrical supply, we delivered additional redundancy capabilities to meet our client¡¯s goals, which were essential to site load capabilities for maintenance uptime without taking the facility offline.
We supported the critical IT load by designing (N+N) static uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. The power is distributed within the data hall through a high-level distribution busway, enabling complete paralleled backup systems.
By working closely with SpaceDC, we delivered a safe, sustainable, and cost-effective design with possibilities for expansion in the future.
