Policy Dialogue and Public Diplomacy Facility for New Zealand

The European Commission seeks to enhance the European Union¡¯s (EU's) capacity to achieve its foreign policy objectives in New Zealand by fostering deeper relationships and partnerships. This initiative aims to support EU-New Zealand dialogues and promote an understanding of the EU¡¯s global role. It focuses on key areas such as trade, agriculture, climate, ocean governance, digitalization, research, youth engagement, and security.

Working with the European Commission¡¯s delegation to New Zealand, we¡¯re providing specialized technical assistance in key priority sectors and organizing events and exchanges of experiences and best practices. Additionally, we¡¯re focusing on awareness raising activities in thematic fields of strategic relevance so that all project activities have adequate visibility.

The European Commission designed this project to create lasting benefits by strengthening EU-New Zealand relations and increasing awareness of the EU¡¯s role as a global partner. The use of high-quality communication materials and outreach efforts helps extend the impact of the events beyond their immediate audience, contributing to sustained engagement and the growth of strategic alliances between the EU and New Zealand.
