45MW EPC Solar Ground Mount

Looking for a way to increase the amount of renewable energy produced in Ontario, we harnessed the power from the greatest source of energy of all¡ªthe sun. We were responsible for providing the necessary design and oversight for this project, including scheduling, meeting milestones, and verifying key objectives of the project were met from initiation to completion.

For this project, we provided engineering design services for five ground mount solar photovoltaic facilities throughout southeastern Ontario. The projects consisted of a 600-volt direct current (DC) system inverted and stepped up to 27.6-kilovolt (kV) alternating current (AC) in 1 MW blocks. The power for each project was collected and connected to the Hydro One Network Inc. grid through either a 27.6 kV or a 44 kV substation.

By utilizing the sun¡¯s energy, these ground mounts added an additional 45MW of renewable energy to Ontario¡¯s electrical grid.
