Deep Cut Gas Plant

We were asked to design new facilities for a Deep Cut Gas Plant in Calgary, Alberta. This greenfield project would include new inlet pigging and headers, inlet separation, condensate stabilization, inlet compression, mole sieve gas dehydration, liquids recovery, residue gas compression, sales gas compression, NGL transfer pumps, liquid storage, and produced water disposal pumps.

The facility is designed for 200 million standard cubic feet of raw inlet gas per day. The feed stock for the facility comes from two zones and is required to handle an extreme mix composition that will satisfy base case requirements. In Phase 2, we reviewed four deep cut technologies to suit design parameters. We also identified major long lead items and implemented procurement strategies to support construction targets. During Phase 3, we provided the detailed design and worked with our client to prepare for Phase 4.

We used 3D design software to prepare piping models using modular design practices. 3D design was also executed in civil, structural, and electrical engineering processes to confirm that all aspects of the facility were designed and reviewed throughout the project.
