Off-street dynamic parking guidance system in Montreal

To reduce traffic congestion in the downtown core, the City of Montreal was seeking to acquire and implement a real-time display system to show the number of parking spots available in off-street lots. The system would enable to quickly direct drivers to available spaces, improving traffic flow.

Our team helped the City implement a dynamic guidance system for 50 indoor parking lots in downtown Montreal. Our experts performed site surveys for signage location, prepared plans for the bases, ducts, illuminated signage and telecommunications, prepared specifications for the purchase, installation and configuration of the signage system and message management software. Carried out in two phases, the project involved the installation of more than 350 dynamic messaging signs and 164 static signs.
