Hyperscale Data Centre¡ªAuckland

Around the globe, businesses are embracing rich media¡ªonline content that uses advanced technology to interact with the viewer. Rich media requires loads of data, and by turning to automation, businesses are storing more data than ever before in data centers. To meet capacity demands now and in the future, our client required support to manage the creation of two new hyperscale data centers. Our challenge? Implementing a project through a pandemic with labor and material shortages and strict time constraints.

Two data center sites at undisclosed locations included the initial deployment of 12 megawatt IT load designed to TIA-942B Tier III design standards. The sites also needed supporting infrastructure for future scalability, and an associated administration building. We worked closely with the client and trades team around the clock, using lessons learned from project one, to deliver two first of its kind data centers in New Zealand successfully.

Both developments have provided the community with employment, boosted the local economy, and supported Auckland region¡¯s need for future innovation.?
