Aberdeen City Centre and Beach Masterplan Funding and Business Case Support

The Aberdeen City Centre and Beach Masterplan is a 20-year program of investment to establish Aberdeen as a metropolitan hub and the energy capital of Europe, while continuing to serve the needs and aspirations of local people. Aberdeen City Council engaged us to help make this vision a reality.

We¡¯re providing a package of funding and business case development support. Our work includes feasibility analysis and option scoping support to identify the most appropriate approach to regenerate Queen¡¯s Street. We also prepared a successful ?20 million (US$25 million) funding application to the Levelling Up Fund for funding of the redemolition and replacement of the Aberdeen Market building and public realm improvements to Union Street Central. Additionally, we prepared a set of business cases, setting out the strategic, economic, financial, and commercial rationale for the Belmont Street Quarter, City Centre streetscaping, and Aberdeen Beach public realm projects, to unlock funding for these projects.

By implementing this masterplan over the coming years, the City of Aberdeen is on its way to transforming how residents and visitors alike experience and view the city.
