Anglesey 35 Megawatt Solar Park

Low Carbon, a renewable energy investment company committed to decarbonization, is engaged in delivering renewable energy projects throughout Europe. They saw an opportunity to create a solar park on Anglesey in Wales and approached us for help.

We prepared the socio-economic evidence to support their application for a 35 megawatt (MW) ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) project. Drawing on past experience, our Development Economics team demonstrated how the proposed development would contribute to national, regional, and local economic policy over the project’s life cycle. It would also provide renewable energy growth priorities and contribute to renewable energy generation across Wales. We also demonstrated how the scheme would benefit the community by supporting local employment opportunities and local businesses while providing opportunities to upskill local residents.

Construction has already begun and it’s a first step in providing economic benefits to the community.
