Church Street Masterplan
In 2016, Westminster City Council (WCC) appointed our multidisciplinary team to bring creative insight (with a focus rigorous analytics and clear communication) to support their vision for the Church Street ward. A critical goal for WCC was to stimulate local economic activity and ensure greater connectivity to opportunities in central London.
To help them reach their goal, we designed a masterplan that proposes a community and housing program capable of meeting the current and future needs of residents and businesses. We are committed to enabling better neighbourhoods with new and high-quality housing, supported by the right infrastructure, and improving the health and wellbeing of residents. The masterplan, which will guide development for the next 15-20 years, is transformative and brings inclusive growth to the heart of England¡¯s capital city.
Following extensive public consultation, the masterplan was adopted by WCC in December 2017. In addition to serving as the lead consultant on this commission, we also provided planning, transport, socio-economics, engineering and environmental consultancy services. The masterplan was shortlisted for the 2018 Planning Award.
