Belleview Development Project

The Belleview site is a former manufactured gas plant with the majority of its soils impacted with manufactured gas plant constituents and ammonia. It was decided that the best remedial approach was to excavate all impacted materials. Â鶹´«Ã½ is performing oversight and confirmation sampling for the installation of 740 foot seawall and excavation of 592,000 tons of material.

Because the site is located on the river and the existing seawall needed replaced, part of our scope included installation of a new seawall. Since excavation was necessary directly behind the seawall, which was up to 32 feet deep, the wall had to be able to handle that loading situation and allow us access for excavation.
