Process Safety Management (PSM) Program

A process safety management (PSM) compliance audit helps companies determine if they¡¯re in compliance with safety requirements as well as the risk management plan mandates. An audit involves reviewing recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP) and how the facility has implemented conformance to RAGAGEP. It can also include a process hazard analysis (PHA), which is a systematic approach to documenting hazards associated with a specific process and quantifying the consequences of the hazards.

Since 2016, our team has provided these audits, review, and inspection services to a food manufacturing client at multiple locations across the US. As a PHA facilitator, our team has Â鶹´«Ã½ with multiple PHA methodologies, and our participation in dozens of PHA studies means we conduct a thorough analysis.

In this client¡¯s case, a third-party visual inspection of their refrigeration equipment is required on a five-year frequency by the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration. In addition to inspecting and documenting the condition of every piece of refrigeration equipment, we¡¯ve documented areas where the PSM is effective as well as areas that require corrective action. This record serves as a baseline for future audits and helps us determine changes or trends.

Our team has become a trusted, go-to partner for this client, and our audits and inspections have helped them clearly understand their compliance with all necessary policies and protocols.?
