Denver International Airport Great Hall
With almost 70 million travelers passing through Denver International Airport (DEN) each year, the world¡¯s third busiest airport wanted to enhance safety and security, create more intuitive passenger flow, and increase capacity to accommodate continued growth.
For the recently completed Phase 1 of this multi-year undertaking, Â鶹´«Ã½ continued the design leadership for renovating the middle portion of the airport¡¯s Jeppesen Terminal. This phase included deployment of all new hybrid check-in pods that help streamline the baggage/check-in process, while providing an intuitive entry to the terminal and its open, light-filled passenger experience.?
Phase 2 will streamline security by building a new state-of-the-art TSA checkpoint on Level 6 in the northwest quadrant of the Jeppesen Terminal. The new checkpoint is complemented by innovative passenger queueing and improved post-security circulation. Consolidating the checkpoints allows for the balanced redistribution of passengers. Beautifully clad state-of-the-art automated screening lanes incorporate innovative technology including automated tray returns, alarmed bag diverters, and remote screening for faster and less intrusive screening processes.
Future phases will add check-in pods, restrooms, and improved circulation to the south end of the terminal to create a memorable arrival and landside experience. Upon completion, travelers will be able to enjoy more efficient seamless travel in a modern appealing environment that improves the passenger experience.
