Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center - Heart and Vascular Institute

When Louisiana State University wanted to establish future clinical sites for their graduate medical education programs, they partnered with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Together, they envisioned a new heart and vascular center on campus¡ªa ten-story, inpatient and perioperative services project with 120 inpatient rooms and 12 state-of-the-art operating rooms.

Our design of the renovated entrance and adjacent gathering space, created to offer tranquility and respite to patients and visitors, radiates a commitment to holistic healing and wellness. Inside the building, operational improvements include substations situated at every two rooms to locate nursing staff closer to patients. The majority of the rooms face east, which helps to reinforce circadian rhythms and support wellness.

With light-filled common areas and state-of-the-art technology, the Heart and Vascular Institute will provide superior education for medical students and superior patient care in the years to come.
