The Row, Fulton Market

Related Midwest LLC set out to bring luxury and affordable living to Chicago¡¯s historic Fulton Market District. They engaged us to serve as the architect of record for this transformative project.

Working closely with designer Morris Adjmi Architects, our team developed a 43-story tower that draws inspiration from the historic structures throughout the former meatpacking district and nearby L tracks. Arched support beams, which take a cue from the tracks, are reflected in the building¡¯s glass-and-steel fa?ade with arched window and metal articulation repeated to the top of the building. Other distinguishing features include a podium enclosure with forward-facing decorative masonry with structural brick support, to achieve the required fire-rating, articulating metal panels, and glazing.

The contemporary yet classic look carries throughout the interiors to convertible, one- to three-bedroom residences and penthouses with sweeping views of the neighborhood. Residents enjoy abundant amenities including a fitness center, yoga room, children¡¯s playroom, co-working space, party room, swimming pool, outdoor grilling stations, and on-site structured parking.

The Row is the first high-rise completed in Chicago under new Affordable Illinois legislation, bringing 60 high-quality, affordable units to a sought-after neighborhood that previously lacked affordable housing.
