Fritha works predominantly on stormwater and wastewater projects. She's also heavily involved in the engineering community, having held several leading roles at Engineering New Zealand and the UK's Institution of Civil Engineers, and speaks at industry events and conferences.
A 'disaster specialist', Fritha was a graduate when the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake hit and she was appointed a Project Engineer at the Stronger Canterbury Infrastructure Rebuild Team, managing large wastewater, stormwater, fresh water, road construction and structural projects.
Then in her first week at the UK's Environment Agency in 2015,?the worst floods in a decade hit the country—Fritha worked closely with flooded communities and produced solutions to protect them for the future.
Now returned to New Zealand Fritha leads the Civil Water team in Christchurch and works on proposals, methodologies, pricing, building client relations, and design.
In her spare time Fritha is a potter and gardener and loves cooking with the vegetables she's grown.?
