Guna has been passionate about civil engineering since he was in school, which is why, with the aim of helping his community, he chose a career in geotechnical engineering. In his role, Guna carries out project management, site investigations, geotechnical analysis and design, risk management analysis and construction support.
Known for his proactive and outside the box thinking, Guna is committed to bringing innovation and resilience to the solutions he develops. He’s well known for his experience in seismic assessment and geotechnical earthquake design work for residential and commercial buildings, as well as retaining walls, bridges, tunnels, and ports. Guna has carried out earthquake geotechnical engineering services for several local authorities across New Zealand, focusing on ground anchors, shallow and deep foundations, deep excavations, and ground improvement.
Outside of work, Guna loves to play cricket and supports both the New Zealand and India men's national cricket teams as well as the Chennai Super Kings.
