Hayley’s passion is working on projects that support ecological, social, and cultural values through design that educates users about their environment. Every day, she strives to create environments for the future while incorporating the past—spaces that can future-proof themselves and adapt to climatic changes.
Closely connected to her Australian colleagues, Hayley often works on projects based in Victoria and New South Wales. Her visual design skills help build 3D models and photo-realistic visualisations, while her experience with onsite plant inspection and monitoring keeps track of progress and success, providing recommendations and instruction to contractors. Hayley’s diverse range of trans-Tasman experience provides ample opportunity for learning new landscapes, communities, and design. On Transmission Gully—a 27 kilometre? four-lane motorway and one of New Zealand’s largest infrastructure projects—her team monitored the planting and maintenance of the vast landscape, encompassing 534 hectares of land and a total of approximately 2.5 million plants.
Outside of work, you’ll find Hayley in her vegetable garden—or perhaps further afield, camping or snowboarding with friends and family.
