4-6 Bligh Street, Sydney

Providing consultancy to Woods Bagot for a competition-winning 55-storey tower design resulted in Â鶹´«Ã½¡¯s successful tender for building services provision, from concept to construction. The luxury Bligh Street hotel is the first to be built in Sydney for 20 years. The new hotel offers retail at lower levels, an office podium with pool, wellness and childcare centres, then hotel accommodation with a rooftop restaurant, bar and gardens.

Driving sustainability, our teams are targeting WELL Certification-a first for a hotel -as well as complying with the Central Sydney Planning Strategy. Initiatives include centralised plant and metering solutions to meet regulatory and operational needs and manage mixed-use ownership within a tight floor plate. We proposed options to reduce plant impact on noise and ventilation, reducing plant footprint and limiting large vertical riser use. The fa?ade combines glazing and solid elements to achieve sustainable outcomes while delivering the sculptural aesthetic, and the rooftop garden features a living tree and hanging greenery.

The Bligh Street project makes a striking contribution to Sydney¡¯s skyline, blending comfort and function with green credentials.
