Hanley¡¯s Farm Housing Development
Queenstown¡¯s rapidly expanding population is challenging¡ªespecially during an ongoing housing affordability crisis. At Hanley¡¯s Farm, we¡¯ve worked with our clients to help respond to the pressures of population growth and deliver successful outcomes for developers, communities, and local authorities.
Hanley¡¯s Farm is a greenfield development for up to 2,000 new housing sites near Queenstown. Construction started in early 2017, with nearly two-thirds of the subdivision completed or in progress. The project includes a wastewater pump station, primary trunk pumping main, and water supply main from existing infrastructure in Queenstown, approximately six kilometres away. This expanded infrastructure will serve Hanley¡¯s Farm and allow for adjacent development that would not be possible otherwise.
From project inception, we¡¯ve been responsible for all engineering planning and design, and collaborating with the client team, planners, surveyors, and geotechnical engineers. Our role includes input into long-term planning and strategy for the staged development, contribution to resource consent applications and approvals, and management of the construction phases of the subdivision.
With high demand for residential building sites, we¡¯re helping our clients ease the housing market burden through their successful developments present and future.
