Morley Galleria Redevelopment

Our client, Vicinity Centres, and their joint venture partner Perron Group, have set out a vision to create a super-regional centre that offers customers a world-class retail and leisure experience. The challenge? Refurbishing the existing Morley Galleria Shopping Centre to improve building sustainability while adding 2,500 parking spaces.

Our team formulated a staging expansion to ensure the continuity of the shopping centre’s functioning to support the community's needs. By working closely with stakeholders, our extensive modelling of the proposed development allowed the manipulation of numerous variables to demonstrate the extent to which specific initiatives impacted the optimal sustainability pathway. A five megawatt solar photovoltaic roof installation not only reduces the amount of heat energy hitting the building, but it also produces clean, renewable energy in the process with excess power sent to solar farms in Western Australia.

Now complete, our work helps bring amenities, sustainability, and joy together to serve the local community.
